It’s estimated that 20 percent of Americans feel tired to the point that it interferes with their daily life. This type of overwhelming and chronic fatigue interferes with your ability to enjoy life and feel productive, but why does this happen?
Doctors comments:
An important place to start if one is having issues with fatigue is to run a fairly thorough blood panel. I find most doctors for an annual physical will order perhaps 70% of the items that I would like to see. They typically lack in the following items that can give important clues as to ones overall health as well as issues of fatigue. They include: Hemoglobin A1c, AM cortisol, AM insulin, inflammatory markers including hsCRP, homocysteine, Vitamin D, Serum iron and Ferritin, and a complete thyroid panel including thyroid antibodies.
We offer our patients these tests at our wholesale cost’s, such that the entire tests including these often missed items run between $200 to $245. I encourage everyone to get a good lab test such as this done once per year.
