Greetings all,
There are many “summits” that have been produced over the past few years as a way of bringing many experts to the lay person and professional to speak on various topics such as auto immune disease, thyroid disorders, toxic metal detoxification strategies, candida, gluten sensitivity and now over the prior week was the Alzheimer’s and dementia summit.
There are many speakers who are interviewed and of course some are considerably better than others but I must say that there are always good speakers who give valuable insight to the topic discussed.
Currently for this weekend and this weekend only, you can access all of this summit’s speakers at no charge. Otherwise the fee for this access is about $80. Of note is that if you do find some of the speakers to be of interest, they frequently have websites and youtubes published that have additional valuable information available.
I did not get a chance to listen to all the summit’s speakers but of those that I did listen to my recommendation is to listen to the following:
Russell Blaylock, MD
Alzheimer’s Disease: Shocking TruthAbout Amyloid Plaq
Dharma Singh Khalsa, MD
Brain Longevity: Power of Meditation
Datis Kharrazian, DHSc, DC, MS, FACN, CNS
Dementia Solutions: Overlooked Therapies Revealed
Dale Bredesen, MD
Reversing Alzheimer’s Disease: A Comprehensive Approach
Deborah Gordon, MD
Treating Dementia: 3 Ways to Prevent Memory Loss
Dr. Gordon probably the best in terms of just a good overall holistic approach to improving ones health, irrespective of their condition. As a bonus if you have the time and want to hear some science on why all the wireless routers, cord free phones, cellular phones and everything else wireless may be a problem to ones health then listen to the talk by:
Olle Johansson, PhD
Wireless Technology: A Threat to Brain Function
Beautiful meditation at the end of Dr. Dharma’s talk is worth listening to. Great simple effective, scientifically valedated 12 minute meditation is reviewed. Check out his website for alzheimersprevention.org for more info.
All the speakers will talk for about 50 minutes. The letter below is from Dr. Datis, a fellow chiropractic neurologist who lectures across the world whom I have had the good fortune to study with on many occasions. Follow the link to access this weekends talks.
Regards,
Jacob Bastomski DC, DIBCN
FROM Dr. Datis:
If you are familiar with my work, you know I prioritize education on preventing dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Knowing the facts about Alzheimer’s empowers you to take care of your brain now instead of when it’s too late.
Here are some dementia statistics from the Alzheimer’s Association:
Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the US, ahead of cancer and breast cancer combined.
83 percent of the help provided to older adults in the US comes from family members, friends, or other unpaid caregivers.
5.7 million Americans have Alzheimer’s, with the number projected to rise to 14 million by 2050.
One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
The most shocking statistic: Between 2000 and 2010, deaths from heart disease increased 11 percent, while deaths from Alzheimer’s increased 123 percent.
Why this massive increase in Alzheimer’s deaths?
The standard American diet and lifestyle actively undermines brain health and longevity. Chronically stressful lifestyles, high-sugar, high-carb diets, and lack of regular exercise lay a crumbling foundation for brain health that serves as a fast-lane to brain degeneration, Alzheimer’s, and other dementias — sometimes starting in your 30s or 40s.
Remember: Early signs of dementia show long before the conventional healthcare model pays attention.
The good news — you have the power to dramatically change your own outcome, even if you have started to show early signs of dementia or Alzheimer’s. But the key is to start NOW to support better brain health.
In my brain health book, I show you how to protect yourself from the ravages of early brain degeneration based on the same functional medicine and restorative neurology health strategies I use with my patients.
As a health care practitioner, it became clear that overwhelming numbers of patients can’t find help for their brain fog and other symptoms of early brain degeneration. While my brain book is intended to fill that role, I offer more facilitated guidance through my online course Save Your Brain: The Six-Week Rescue Plan.
Last week I sent out an email inviting you to view the free online Alzheimer’s & Dementia summit, where I join 30 other brain experts to educate the public about proven brain health strategies that the conventional medical model ignores.
The summit week is over, but they are opening the talks again for an encore this weekend — August 4-5 — so you can catch the talks you missed or repeat your favorites.
Encore weekend gets underway at 10am US (ET) Saturday, August 4th — all talks will be unlocked through Monday at 10am US (ET).
